Super was sold as a weanling to a lady that had him gelded at a year, then left him as a beautiful pasture ornament for 4 years. We were told he ties, lunges, will stand for saddling and, bridling, he had been sat on and had great ground manners. Once we brought him home on October 6th, 2011 we found he has had NO TRAINING. He was a barn favorite, comes running when his name is called and loves to be played with, however he did not stand tied quietly and did not lead well. He is not at all mean, he does not try to bite or kick. He is in training now with Steven Marchal. He is learning to lead correctly staying out of the handlers space. He is learning to stand tied. He will be started under saddle once his ground work is consistently good. He is smart and we feel he will make someone a wonderful horse. He is winter priced now for $2500.00 SOLD
He stands right at 15 hands high at 4 years of age. He has wonderful conformation and the blue black shiny coat of his sire. He will make a fabulous combined training horse, he is bold, he has great movement and has the leg bone to hold up under the most difficult movements. Check out his video below, this is after 3 days of teaching. He now leads nicely backs when asked and is learning how to lunge. This is a very smart boy.
Today October 14th, 2011 Super was introduced to a saddle with no problem at all, he has walked and trotted over a tarp, crossed a bridge and will stand and wait until he is asked to go forward off the bridge, he is learning to pick up his feet over poles and small jumps and is putting his 2 front feet on a pedestal. Super was ponied today Oct 21st, 2011 over obstacles and through the death trails. This pony is doing GREAT!
October 22nd 2011, Super has been introduced to a rider. He really is doing SUPER!
He is such an affectionate boy and needs his own human.
October 28th, he is learning stop, go forward and back up with Rhoda sitting on his back. Today he was just SUPER!
